Vision

Perfect world opened before my eyes, another children’s fantasy.
Illusions of harmony, whispered lies, a dream I still see.
The cloying siren’s song I hear, to resist is to deny.
The dream like vision I cling to is slowly slipping away.

A dream! That is all I see, it’s another vision.
A child’s fantasy replaces reality.
Blinded by all we crave, lust’s depravity.
The vision I long to see is through innocent eyes.

Twists of time corrupts the pure, youth never replaced.
Guilty world breeding deceit, trust that slowly dissipates.
Adjusting to times demise, the virtues that are lost.
Never to see that joy again, the vision that is lost.

A dream! That is all I see, it’s another vision.
A child’s fantasy replaces reality.
Blinded by all we crave, lust’s depravity.
The vision I long to see is through innocent eyes.

Suffocated by silence,
That is all I’ll ever be, (All I’ll Ever Be!)
Never speak all I can is surrender,
To those around me. (Those Around Me!)
Visions that I long for,
Shattered shards of glass, (Just Shards of Glass!)
Inevitability overcomes us all,
Loosening the grip on the past.

A dream! That is all I see, it’s another vision.
A child’s fantasy replaces reality.
Blinded by all we crave, lust’s depravity.
The vision I long to see is through innocent eyes.

Silence!
Silence!
Silence!
Silence!
