Ritual

Cast the moonlight beyond the eyes.
See the feathers fall, bless the angel.
Crimson snakes and distant elegies.
Glinting silver blades, reflections to see.
Hear the torment, feel the screams.
Celestial tears, another melody.
Lock of hair, so gently it falls.
Dull eyes, blood running free.

Changing face the scarlet slowly creeps to engulf.
Obsidian mourning, hide the shadows from the soul.
Distorted ebbs of purity within the silence.
Silent drop, shattered hope, unseeing eyes.

Faceless, nameless the cowled figures that surround.
The last chant dissipates as the final feather falls.
Her naked form the deathly pallor of the moon.
Deathly ambiance, deathly gaze.
Unblemished circle, nobility of the sky.
Now soulless, an eerie silence descends.
Baleful eyes copper feathers surround.
Lifeless grasp sacrificial thorns fall.

Bless this angel for me! Leave this angel for me!
Bless this angel for me! Leave this angel for me!
