Angel
Lock of hair, raven flutter, shimmers in the moon’s silent gaze,
Diving down to caress the Earth, to sing of love again.
Tranquil surrounding sea; the wave’s whispered verses sing,
A melody, the tune to which she dances once again.
As she soars to touch the mantle of the sky,
Beneath her gaze centuries now pass.
Like a dreamless sleep the mortals pass in their orisons.
Still she watched enraptured yearning to experience life.
Shades of white, dipping and flitting through the air.
As innocence descended to touch the ground.
Vivacious laughter that fills the soul.
Revelling in her new found joy as to darkness she drifts.
Angel’s tears, crystalline forms as foaming waves wash once again by the shore.
The smiles and longing gazes encapsulating youth and purity, the children of the stars.
Goodnight again sweet princess, goodnight again pray you don’t awake to the fabled tale of the moon.
Sacred heaven, angels’ tears, angels mourn, sacred silence.
