Caught in the headlights, body frozen nowhere left to run,
So time stands still for me.
Visions of the child I was the lucid memories appear to me,
I live them all again.
First date, first gig I saw
Final grades, missing the score.
Before my eyes life played out to me.

Caught in the cold it's helpless to fight,
Smile inside! Look around! Inner sight!
Seeing the world slowly pass me by,
Now it's time! Caressing warmth! See the light!
End of a journey I bid you goodbye,
Sit aside! Welcome home! Final flight!
See now there's only ten seconds of life.

Freed from decisions, can see repercussions of my choices.
If I had the chance would I change this life?
Could I look down without regret to smile again?
As the light draws closer there's only peace in this time.

Lights flashing in my eyes, hypnotise my mind so slowly,
Numbed from all the pain.
Drifting through the air this weightless body seems to float,
Darkened shadows dance.
Can see myself there.
People crowding acting as if they care.
But too late it's just another hit and run.
